ANDREW BARR'S Halloween Horror MOVIE MONSTARS

Can you name all the Monstars and Halloween horror movies they're from?

Andrew Barr is a Canadian illustrator living on the outskirts of Toronto. When not providing illustrations and info graphics for a major National newspaper, he can be found drawing monsters, comics and pinup art. Outside the newspaper you may have seen his work gracing the covers of Rock 'n' Roll albums and t-shirts or in various educational comic publications. You may even have read one of his small press comic books. Either way you'll see more of it if you check out his blogs at the links below:

Terrifier fan art poster by Mario Frias

Makeup artist Damien Leone transforms David Howard Thornton into the murderous Art the Clown for upcoming Halloween horror film, Terrifier.

Damien Leone's post on the Art the Clown Facebook page: To all of those who ever wanted to see the Art the Clown makeup transformation, we finally captured a time lapse of the process after over 20 (2hr + long) applications on the set of Terrifier. Needless to say, David Howard Thornton is a trooper!

Wanna be Art the Clown for Halloween? Check out this
white or bloody mask at Mask for sale's etsy shop.

Back in September, Terrifier had a screening at The Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, New York; and afterward Michael Gingold hosted a Q&A with David Howard Thornton, who plays the ever-so-nefarious Art the Clown, alongside fellow cast members Matt McAllister and Gino Cafarelli. - Originally posted at Dread Cetral.

The Many Horrors of (ALL) HALLOWS' EVE

Halloween horror films titled All Hallows Eve or Hallows Eve:

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: October 31st begins like any other day. Adults go to work. Children go to school. But when night falls, the real party begins. That's when a young group of friends get together to tell some of the most twisted and terrifying stories imaginable. But as their stories begin to unfold, an unexpected dark side to their personalities is revealed...

I have this on DVD, I was expecting to be disappointed, but I liked the twists and it's only 73 minutes long, short and sweet.

All Hallows' Eve (2007) Trailer:

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: Days before the annual opening of Slaughter on Second Street, Owensboro's premiere haunted attraction, a tragedy befalls one of their own. Despite pleas from the manager, Buck Masters, the attraction is shut down until the mystery is solved. In his frustration, Buck devises a plan to get the haunt back on its feet and make some extra money while he's at it. Playing on the rumors that the attraction may in fact be haunted, Buck brings in paranormal investigators to prove the rumors true. The investigator's arrival is met with the feeling that something isn't right, but it's just another job...Or so they think! An unfriendly encounter with the building's maintenance man, Mr. Jenkins, makes the team realize that the history of the building is far darker than they could have ever imagined and they may actually be visiting one of Owensboro's most haunted sites. Locked in overnight, along with Buck, they begin their investigation which becomes interrupted when three volunteers appear from ...

This one's hard to find, can't seem to find a dvd online anywhere. The Volumes of Blood trilogy's producer P.J. Starks' first feature length film.

Hallows Eve: Slaughter on Second Street (2008) Trailer:

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: A college party is the stage for bloodshed and murder on Halloween Night, as a mistreated student exacts his revenge on those who wronged him. Using the effigy of a living scarecrow, his Frankenstein like creation carries out his heinous plans. One female student, Trix, is the only thing that stands between him and the bloodiest massacre to ever take place on the night of All Hallows' Eve.

I have this on DVD as well, but my version is called HalloweeNight, the acting is bad but the story and the effects are good. Lots of great Halloween scenes.

All Hallows Eve AKA HalloweeNight (2009) Trailer:

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: The sleepy town of Hallowed Hill is known by many as the Halloween capital of the world because of its history, and because of its Pagan origins. People from all around come to visit the town on the night of All Hallows Eve. 200 years ago, on Halloween, a great evil was unleashed on the town by a witch who dabbled in the black arts. After a long night of Halloween Mayhem, brought on by this terrible evil, a select group of towns folk were able to stop the witch, and dispatch the evil back into the darkness from whence it came. An ancient Pagan book was what the witch used to release the evil, and what the townsfolk used to stop it. After that terrible night, the book was hidden away so that it could never again be used to unleash the dark forces upon the town. Now 200 years later a young girl finds the book archived deep in the old cellar of the local library, and with the help of her wicked foster mother the two again release the evil Sam Hain from his Hell bound prison to once ...

Another film I have on Blu-ray. I love it great story, great makeup/masks, great effects and awesome Halloween decorations. Kenny Caperton is in it along with The Myers House NC.

All Hallows Evil: Lord of the Harvest (2012) Trailer:

https://www.facebook.com/ALLHALLOWSEVIL/

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: While watching two children on Halloween night, a babysitter finds an old VHS tape in the kids' trick or treat bag. The tape features three tales of terror, all linked together by a murderous clown. As the night goes on strange things begin to occur in the house. It isn't long before the babysitter learns the horrifying truth... the maniacal clown is slowly working his way into her reality.

A gory anthology film with the twisted Art the Clown can't wait to see Art's return in Terrifier (2015) when it hits DVD or Blu-ray.

All Hallows' Eve (2013) Trailer:

https://www.facebook.com/allhallowsevemovie/

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: Alone on Halloween, a young woman finds a mysterious VHS tape on her doorstep-a tape that shows a series of gruesome and ghastly tales that appear to be all too real. But these terrifying glimpses of damned souls are not the only horrors that stalk her. A sinister, pumpkin-faced killer is using the videotape as a portal into our reality; and if he makes it through, this twisted trickster seeks only one "treat": blood.

Art the Clown does not return in this sequel replaced by a pumpkin-faced killer. An anthology horror film with 8 short horror films not as good or gory as the first. They should have used all shorts that take place on Halloween, only 2 shorts and the wraparound do.

All Hallows' Eve 2 (2015) Trailer:

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: Years after a tragic accident leaves a young child scarred for life, the people responsible pay - with their lives.

A fun low budget slasher film that takes place at a haunted amusement park with Danielle Harris in a small role.

Hallows' Eve (2013) Trailer:

https://www.facebook.com/Hallowsevemovie

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: 20 years after a tyrannical maniac terrorized his family near Pearl Lake on October 30th 1988, the so-called events of "missing people" begin again. Oldest son, Ethan Pearl and brother Jacob intricately select a cast of stars (Jade, Heather, Gene, Milton, & Crew) in an attempt to produce a Pearl Lake horror film based on their traumatic childhood. While location scouting and rehearsing, the group encounters several unexpected turns and a crazy man who terrorizes them. Ethan leads Jade down a perceived path to safety, but when she continues to search for answers, she realizes this isn't an ordinary film, or an ordinary director.

Awful story, bad acting, and hardly any Halloween related scenes. Originally planned as the first film in a trilogy, but if the other two ever get made I would check them out.

All Hallows Eve: October 30th (2015) Trailer:

https://www.facebook.com/October30thFilm

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: Three tales of terror to make your flesh creep and your heart pound. Deadly spirits, back from the grave with vengeance in mind, give fuel to these tales of supernatural horror. This awesome anthology includes a story adapted from the work of master horror writer Gary Brandner author of "The Howling." Demons from beyond, souls seeking revenge and more for the scariest Halloween of all. "Will make you want to turn a light on while you watch." - Wicked Channel.com. "Voices from the Grave makes for a twisted, fun time." - Ain't It Cool News. "Lots of atmosphere with inspired moments of pure film making." - The Dead End Drive.

I also have this on DVD, my version is titled Voices from the Grave (2014). An ok anthology film with 3 shorts and wraparound. Only one short takes place on Halloween.

All Hallows Eve: The Dead Have Stories to Tell (2016) AKA Voices from the Grave (2014) Trailer:

https://www.facebook.com/Voices-From-The-Grave-181405091900187/

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: The Hallows Estate is on alert as strange graffiti tags with messages declaring the streets will be taken over on Halloween night begin to appear on walls around the place, along with sightings of strange figures lurking in the shadows. One of the gangs responsible for the serious anti social behavior that give the estate a bad name, decide to take these threats head on and ignore the curfew on Halloween night. But who ever, or what ever, this new threat is, they seem to have the very night on their side as they make good on their promise of claiming the streets by frightening and violent means.

Will be released on Netflix in the U.K. on Oct 3rd, but hasn't been released in the States yet.

Hallows Eve (2016) Trailer:

https://www.facebook.com/hallowsevethemovieUK/

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: It's that creepy time of year again...Halloween. And a group of friends have gotten together for a party at an old abandoned and haunted house where an entire family was once murdered. Seems totally safe right? Wrong. Dead wrong. Because not only do the kids decide to play some tricks and have a few treats, they manage to revive a supernatural killer; a killer hell bent on sacrificing them one by one to evil forces possessing the home. Will anyone escape? Or will they all be slain and become permanent residents of the infamous Amityville house? With original music by Nightmare queen Tuesday Knight, this is a night that none of them will ever forget ,for as long as they live.

The trailer below looks awful, just the kind of Halloween horror movie I like. Will have to check this out someday.

All Hallows' Eve Horror (2017) Trailer:

Website: https://glamboyproductions.vhx.tv/products/all-hallows-eve-horror

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: On All Hallows' Eve 1457, A dark secret society of priests led by the Evil Countess Victoria (Vanessa Coleman) and Ambrus (Stephen Manley) are conducting diabolical ceremonies in which humans are being sacrificed to appease their God Samhain...

The Curse of All Hallows' Eve (2017) I can't find a trailer or release date for this film.
https://www.facebook.com/ahe2014/

IMDb.com SYNOPSIS: After a fifteen-year-old is brutally beaten up by High School bullies, his wish for revenge unknowingly unleashes the Terror of Halloween.

This looks so awesome. I hope it's released to DVD/Blu-ray this year.
