Hellions is a 2015 Canadian horror film directed by Bruce McDonald, written by Pascal Trottier and starring Chloe Rose, Rossif Sutherland, Rachel Wilson, Peter Dacunha, Luke Bilyk, and Robert Patrick. The film was an official selection of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival lineup and also screened at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.

SYNOPSIS: Strange trick-or-treaters plague conflicted teenager Dora Vogel (Chloe Rose) at her isolated home on Halloween. Under siege by forces she can’t understand, Dora must defend both body and soul from relentless Hellions, dead-set on possessing something Dora will not give them. With officer Corman (Robert Patrick: Terminator 2: Judgment Day) in tow will Dora survive and kill these forces of evil? From director Bruce McDonald (Ponytpool), set in a visually haunting landscape, Hellions redefines the boundaries of horror with its potent brew of Halloween iconography, teenage angst and desperate survival.

The Hollywood Reporter and IndieWire criticized both the film and its direction. The reviewers felt that although Hellions showed promise, it ultimately did not live up to its potential. The A.V. Club named it #3 on its list of 20 worst movies of 2015. At the same time, horror websites such as Coming Soon and Bloody Disgusting reviewed it favorably and both outlets praised the film for its imagery and cinematic inventiveness. RogerEbert.com also commended the film, calling it a "perfect, light midnight movie" that, despite its shortcomings, "gets the job done". The Blu-ray release of Hellions was called a "must-add" to everybody's October watch list by Bloody Disgusting.

SYNOPSIS: Small town punk rockers THE BRAIN DEADS have their first out of town show, but there are a few problems: The venue is deserted, the promoter is a creep, their bassist has gone missing, and the only kids in the audience turn out to be bloodthirsty punk rockers from Hell. NIGHT OF THE PUNKS is an award-winning 19 minute splatterpunk love letter to 1980's horror cinema, influenced by films like Return of the Living Dead, The Evil Dead and Night of the Demons.

The goal after making the short film was to create a feature length film in 2014 which never got made. I can't find any new info online about the feature film. Below is the pitch reel and the makers description of the feature film:

We are turning our 2010 award-winning short film into a feature. The script is ready to launch and we're seeking financing with the hopes of starting production by 2014. The feature version takes the premise of the short film to the ultimate extreme. It's loaded with practical gore effects, rock and roll music, fast-paced action set pieces and hilarious sight gags, along with fully realized versions of short's characters and a whole slew of new heroes (New Wave beauties, hair metal douchebags, college preppies). The feature film is set in a John Hughes-esque 80's America and will sport a visual style of filmmakers like John Carpenter, Walter Hill & Joe Dante.

This pitch reel features footage from the original 2010 short film intercut with a selection of 80's genre classics that inspire the feature.

NEVERKNOCK (2017) SYFY Trailer and Stills

New original TV movie titled NeverKnock premieres as part of SYFY's 31 Days of Halloween marathon on Sunday October 15 at 9pm.
